The Harrier Royale is Borders premier tournament longbow, elegant with an elaborate full pistol grip riser. The extra sized riser section adds mass as well as looks and offers a repeatable platform for 3D or marked distance field tournaments. The overall geometry is mild deflex / reflex and obviously, for a tournament bow complies with all known rules. The Harrier Royale makes full use of Borders longbow GL technology low mass limbs and fulfills Borders known reputation for stability smooth draw and fast arrow speeds. Available in bow lengths of 70", 68" 66" and 64" The Harrier Royale caters for draw lengths up to 28" on the shorter length through to 32" maximum on the 70" model. It offers high levels of stored energy.

The full carbon GL technology limbs unlike double carbon that also contains glass fibre. GL technology has no glass fibre in the limbs and the resulting low-mass limbs produce recurve like speed and very low hand shock! The Harrier Royale is fast smooth and forgiving to shoot.

The Harrier Royale design has taken top honours at national and major tournaments and fulfills its destiny as an all out competition bow and is entirely in its element in the stressful arena of top level competition.

A true longbow with speed to match. Designed to be shot in longer bow lengths for a smooth and forgiving performance. Its GL technology limbs reduces hand shock to negligible levels thanks to the extra low mass limbs and developes arrow speeds higher than levels found on many recurves.

Heavy limb longbows (glass constructed or moderate mass limbs carbon glass construction) negatively absorbs energy and arrow speed, but delivers it back in the form of handshock.

The Harrier Royale has a light weight feel resulting from the extra low mass limbs. Its overall weight is higher than either the Griffon or the Harrier GL due to the added complexity of the riser section. However the physical weight of the bow can be tailored to meet the individuals taste.

The absence of hand shock on all Border longbows and especially the GL series means that the overall mass of the bow can be low giving the bow that overall bow handling comfort or tailored to meet specific needs.

The mild deflex/reflex also means that the bow is extremely accommodating and tactile facilitating the stringing and general handling of the bow unlike the more highly deflexed and very reflexed hybrid designs that can be devils to string and unstring and have suspect vertical stability a feature often found of this design style in their race for speed.
